USA for Ukraine believes that the animals of our planet are also in need of aid and attention. To help the abandoned dogs, cats and birds of Ukraine, we are working with existing shelters in the Kiev Oblast to repair and/or build out their housing, kitchen facilities and helping with veterinary attention as needed. Eventually, we will have international fostering capability to ensure that the animals of Ukraine are able to find a safe home.

This is the current kitchen at one of the largest shelters in Kiev. This kitchen is to feed over 3,200 dogs, cats and some birds. This shelter was one of the first to be affected by the war when the nearby gas station was, and bridges were bombed limiting access to food and cause the shelter to lose electricity. During this time, the opposing troops shot all of the workers' phones to prevent from any social media and chose to use this shelter as their 'hang out' place. We will provide a proper culinary build out and materials, plus the ability to appropriately store food to improve the and maintain sanitary conditions thereby improving the health of the sheltered animals.
